Happy Lunar New Year
February 1, 2022恭禧發財.
Gong Xi Fa Cai. Kung Hei Fat Choi. Chúc Mừng Năm Mới.
Whatever your language, Happy New Year.
The lunar new year starts at the second new moon after the (northern hemisphere) Winter Solstice. Celebrated by people of Chinese origin the world over, each lunar year is attributed to a sign of the zodiac.
In the third year of the 12 year Chinese astrological calendar, 2022 is a Year of the Tiger. The Wu Xing (Five Elements) sign of the Water Tiger 水 虎 reflects intelligence and wisdom.
Throughout China and in Chinese and other communities around the globe, celebrations with dragons, sea-lions, lanterns and firecrackers will celebrate the new year. Crisp new banknotes will be given to children and unmarried relatives in lucky red envelopes (called ‘lai see’ or ‘hongbao’). Many businesses close for extended periods, and many employees in the Greater China region take annual leave and visit families at ancestral homes.
In the Chinatowns of major cities across the world, there will be activities in which the whole family can watch or participate: Brisbane, Canberra, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Shanghai, and Sydney.
Digital Tsunami was founded in Hong Kong in 1996. Creative Director, Andrew W Morse, has an understanding of the Greater China market and Chinese business philosophy and practice. From Our Clients
I have viewed all the videos and would like to commend you on the excellent quality.
I would like to thank you for the excellent editing which portrays the event as dynamic and stimulating.
Andrew and his team have supported Foodbank by providing web services for more than a decade.
In fact, they have just undertaken the first complete redevelopment of the original Foodbank website they built for us, and have been maintaining so ably since.
Andrew is creative and passionate and helps us to keep up, constantly looking for new ways to add value and improve our online communications channels.
Digital Tsunami is awesome.
Knowledge far beyond my expectations, led to the site being beautifully creative with simplicity, which is just perfect for a young female artist.
Andrew's patience and respect was impeccable, but what I loved most, was that he just knew what to do EVERY single time ... just the perfect web creator.
Thank you Digital Tsunami. Thank you Andrew
Foodbank has experienced unprecedented growth .. there is no doubt that the new Foodbank website, designed, built and maintained pro bono by Digital Tsunami, has been the principle tool in lifting Foodbank's profile. It is because our website is so engaging, that we have captured these donations. Foodbank just wouldn't be where we are today without Digital Tsunami.
Thanks to you and the Taishan production crew. Andy and the rest of the team were outstanding. Their professionalism was evident the entire time and they seemed to build a nice relationship with the factory employees, which led to a real spirit of cooperation. My sincere thanks for a job extremely well done.
