The Dust of Two Deserts
June 22, 2017(part 6 of 6. In transit)
back to the airport (see part 2 “The Nearly Terminal”)
126 .. Travelling light means that I carry just two pairs of shoes (a lightweight black leather business pair and a pair of comfortable running shoes)*
* After shooting video in both the Nevada and Gobi deserts, my runners were coated with multiple layers of fine dust. Trekking over a mountain to a remote Chinese village, rinsed them clean!
127 .. Commemorate your trip with photographs, but be selective. You have a large capacity analogue storage device in your head. It is preferable to remember, rather than abdicate in favour of a digital recording, or isolate yourself by constantly viewing your surroundings via a screen
128 .. Breathe.
If you can’t change it, or work around it, just chill and accept it!
There is no point having a heart attack over a long delay or even a 24 hour flight postponement. Attempt other routings or transport options. However, if none can be found, utilise the extra time to relax or explore some local hospitality. Enjoy the experience

From Our Clients
Digital Tsunami was professional, responsive and accurately interpreted our brief. The final result was a new website that was in keeping with the iBurst brand essence and proposition.
I don't know what you do, but you do it well.
You have demonstrated patience, perseverance, attention to detail and a rare ability to perceive what was needed even when we didn't. We are delighted with the site, it performs and looks great and our enquiry rate since it superseded our previous website has already increased by 20%.
I happily recommend Andrew and the Digital Tsunami team.
I have dealt with many web marketing and support companies over the years, and have been very impressed with Digital Tsunami's response, advice and understanding of their field. I recommend talking to Andrew about your next web project.
Since 2003, Digital Tsunami has collaborated with Personal Broadband Australia to deliver many online solutions, including the latest www.pba.com.au site.
Central to the development process is Digital Tsunami's thorough understanding of the project needs, clear and constant communication, and creative, innovative and meticulous approach to delivering solutions.
The results are clean, intuitive, refined and cohesive, with rapidly loading pages and extremely high usability.
The benefit to PBA of this long-term relationship has been the highly effective way in which Digital Tsunami has implemented and enhanced my vision on every project.
