Widelines ethical behaviour initiative

Digital Tsunami is a signatory to the Widelines ethics initiative.

Widelines was launched in 2014, and immediately adopted by the Australian Web Industry Association (AWIA). As an AWIA business member, Digital Tsunami was invited to subscribe to the guidelines.

Recognising universal value in the adherence to and promotion of industry standards, Digital Tsunami is committed to the Widelines policies, principles and practices and has subscribed to maintain these standards.

An ethical relationship with clients has always been one of our highest priorities. We have received feedback from many clients as a testament to our success in the application of this philosophy.

Widelines is intended as a set of guidelines for web developers, web designers and search marketing professionals at all levels, who may be working within multinational corporations or as individual freelancers. It is based on the knowledge advantage that most developers have over their clients, in a world where technological advancement is rapid, extensive and continuous.

The ethical guidelines encompass professional conduct, operational practices and relationships with clients, in order to better help educate clients, improve communication and reduce disagreements. Specific areas include:
