XTEK expansion

XTEK Limited is a leading provider of personal protective equipment and advanced technologies for military and law enforcement clients, worldwide.

An Australian listed company (ASX:XTE), XTEK has recently consolidated its corporate structure and updating its online presence to more accurately reflect and service its international capabilities and clients, after acquiring a continental US manufacturer of ballistic products.

An initial step in this process was the registration of domain names. Digital Tsunami made suggestions of appropriate top level domain names, and amongst those registered were XTEK.global, XTEK.group, XTEK.technology and HighComArmor.global.

The new website is clean, responsive and well-segmented with a contemporary style. Built on a client usable CMS, the site offers extremely high user experience and efficient multi-point navigation. The XTEK group website was launched at the AGM in 2022.

Memoria launch

A business card was designed and printed, with the logo reversed out of the corporate colour on the back.

TAS website

A product microsite for of the international dormakaba group (CH:DOKA), TAS is a range of security solutions from electronic door control systems to remote video cameras.

Engaged by the Asia Pacific head office of the Swiss parent company, international marketing is managed out of Melbourne, Australia.

Digital Tsunami designed and developed a responsive web presence to present the TAS product range. After a dramatic slider on the welcome page, the site displays product and lifestyle images, features and specifications datasheets, searchable answers to frequently asked questions, partners and contacts.

As with all websites developed over the last fifteen years, the site is responsive; adapting to the width of the screen on which it is viewed from the largest desktop to the smallest smartphone. A detailed Guidelines for Use document was produced and remote training sessions conducted to enable the client to update all elements of the microsite.

In 2011, Digital Tsunami was engaged to create a brand identity and style guide, photography, and a video (in six language versions) for dormakaba subsidiary brand Wah Yuet.

Craig International Ballistics website

Craig International Ballistics is an innovative manufacturer of combat-proven body armour systems for defence force and police force personnel, ballistic glass and ballistic plates for aircraft, land transport and marine vessels. The company is ISO 9001 certified and has been producing security solutions since late last century.

Craig International Ballistics has manufactured ballistic panels for body armour and ships and ballistic-resistant windows for the Australian Bushmaster APC and the Chinook helicopter.

For the Australian Defence Force, Craig International Ballistics has supplied more than 100,000 Soft Armour Inserts (SAI) and hard ballistic plates (worn by troops in the conflict zones of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Timor L’Este), and is the largest supplier of police body armour in Australia.

A robust Research and Development division ensures that the company continually develops leading-edge armour systems. Craig International Ballistics has invested in (literally) cutting-edge technology, including an extreme high-pressure waterjet cutter, capable of slicing through steel.

Digital Tsunami was commissioned to develop a new responsive site to showcase these products and services online. As well as conveying corporate and product information, news and events, the site also presents considerable ballistics related information, including: a comprehensive glossary of terms; list of international stab and bullet resistant standards; FAQ; projectile impact videos and information on how to maintain personal body armour.

The responsive site automatically resizes to available browser width and orientation, on smartphones, phablets, tablets and desktops. Navigation adjusts from a pulldown menu on handheld devices to a horizontal main menu with individual pulldown submenus on desktops. Images resize and columns adjust (3, 2 or 1), subject to the precise width of the browser. A ‘footer nav’ offers an alternative form of navigation and a range of keywords and phrases, act as a valuable contributor to increased Google ranking.

In the past, Digital Tsunami has delivered multiple services to Craig International Ballistics, including identity, online, photography, print, and a video shot in Queensland and Victoria.

Black n Wright online

Black n Wright is a nascent Australian film and television production company.

Created by lawyer Glenn Wright, the company brand name celebrates both a century of filmmaking and its founder.

The plethora of sector specific, generic top level domains, allowed Digital Tsunami to register BlacknWright dot film.

A concise, responsive website displays three of the eight projects in various stages planning, and reflects the range of types of projects: television drama, mini-series and feature film productions.

International interest has already been shown in one of the projects, which is eligible to attract multi-national investment.

Optim online

A dynamic Australian logistics solutions provider, Optim delivers an exceptionally personalised service, an agile approach and decades of expertise. Specialising in challenging and critically time-sensitive projects, Optim has built a reputation for delivering the seemingly impossible.

Founded in 1992, Optim was in need of an identity refresh, to reflect a 21st century brand.

After developing an icon, logotype and brandline for Optim, Digital Tsunami was commissioned to develop a web site which was informative but succinct. The first step to emphasise the planet-wide solutions which Optim delivers, was to propose a new top level domain; dot global.

The most commonly used online functionality for Optim clients is a secure online shipment tracker. A button link was prominently positioned in the header.

The main nav presented the primary solutions of airfreight, sea freight, customs clearance and specialised services (including shipping camera equipment for feature film production and major sporting events).

Four tabs in corporate colours highlighted these sections, adapting from one to two rows, depending on screen width of desktop monitor, tablet or smartphone.

A short video evocatively conveying the global operations of Optim was edited and inserted into the welcome page of the web site.

FTCC online

The First Thursday Curry Club is a series of invitation-only monthly events which have been convened in Sydney and Christchurch for over a decade.

As a private club, the online presence introduces the group and lists its past events, with a strong emphasis on photography.

Digital Tsunami developed this responsive site in the ‘mobile first’ approach, in which design is focused on small handheld devices first and therefore ensures that a web presence displays appropriately on all devices up to desktops.

Paths to Positiviti responsive site

Paths to Positiviti is a Sydney based healthcare practice offering Clinical Hypnotherapy, Strategic Psychotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

As a new practice, Paths to Positiviti required an online presence to promote its modalities, and itemise the behaviour and health conditions which can be treated.

Fundamental to the visual impact of the site, was the implicit concept of renewal. A commissioned photograph* of a pristine eucalypt trunk beneath peeling bark, conveyed this message on the website’s main page. (*This image served as a visual ambassador for the brand, as it was integrated into business card and print design).

Digital Tsunami developed a responsive site using the ‘mobile first’ philosophy which ensures that a web presence displays appropriately on all devices from handhelds to desktops. The WordPress CMS platform was the foundation, enabling the client to maintain content without any programming training.

The site specifies the conditions treated, including: addictions & dependencies, anxiety, body image, low self-esteem, OCD, phobias, postnatal depression, procrastination, PTSD & trauma, sleep disorders and smoking.

Digital Tsunami had previously developed the identity, and produced photography for the brand.
