Digital Tsunami has a long heritage of delivering multi-media solutions to clients worldwide.
It originated with the brand Essential, founded in 1979 by Andrew W Morse.
Through Essential Film Productions, film, video and photographic production servicing contributed to clients across the globe, including globally recognised brands: CBS, Mercedes-Benz, NBC Sports, OOCL, Suntory, Toyota and Twentieth Century Fox.
Upon relocating to Hong Kong in 1991, Essential Asia expanded its delivery of services to the China market and the foreign brands accessing manufacturing or markets in China, as well as Hong Kong companies shooting television commercials across the countries of Asia and around the globe.
Soon after he designed a ‘bleeding edge’ interactive website for Essential Asia in 1996, Andrew W Morse partnered with a Japanese merchant banker and a Hong Kong Chinese businessman to launch Digital Tsunami. Initial growth by acquisition was quickly followed by expansion to a client base across five continents.
Andrew is a professional member of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) and Screen Producers Australia (SPA). His professional credits can be viewed on IMDb.
The Essential brand is now a component of Digital Tsunami, headquartered in Melbourne.
